Art Education Professional Internship Concentration
The Master of Science, Professional Internship is designed for students seeking an initial teaching license. Students complete teacher licensure core courses, including a school-based internship, during the Professional Year. Elective courses can be taken before or after the Professional Year.
UTK Student Chapter of the National Art Education Association
Student chapter members plan meetings with topics of interest to future art teachers and participate in art-related community service events throughout the year. Membership in the group is contingent upon membership in the National Art Education Association. Events include participation in the Dogwood Arts Festival Chalk Walk, the Very Special Arts Festival, and attendance at state and national conferences.
