Biography
Kim is a post-doctoral research associate supporting the STEM education team. He is also Research & Project Coordinator for the Center for Enhancing Education in Mathematics and Science (CEEMS), Assistant Director for the East Tennessee STEM Hub and supports the VolsTeach, VolsTeach for Appalachia, and GrowStem, projects. Kim received his PhD in teacher education with a specialization in math education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research focuses on recruiting and retaining minoritized preservice mathematics teachers, and practical / equitable mathematics teaching strategies.
