Professor Olivia Gude, artist and distinguished professor from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, was the keynote speaker at an art education presentation in November, 2019, hosted by Joy Bertling, Theory and Practice in Teacher Education (TPTE) assistant professor of art education.
The presentation, entitled “Principles of Possibility,” focused on strategies for implementing a student-oriented K-12 arts curriculum that incorporates an awareness of contemporary art, visual culture theory, and community-based art-making.
